Redirecting mediawiki?

This is probably quite simple, but I’m a newbie to these things.

I just installed mediawiki to my website, in the folder /mwiki. However, I would like it so that people who visit www.ninjadruid.com are directed to the main page of the wiki. How do I go about doing this? Thanks.

Search the DH wiki for info on htaccess file. Redirecting can hurt your listings in search engines though. if that’s going to be important, consider just making a link from the home page.

I still don’t see what exactly to do. I found out how to direct my index.html file to the wiki page, but I want to redirect www.ninjadruid.com itself.

Is NinjaDruid.com the same domain with the mwiki subfolder? If so, just make a simple index.html file with this line in the head tag:

You can’t use a DNS redirect to a folder in the same domain getting redirected.

Worked perfectly. Thanks!

The best way to do with is with a server redirect. Create an .htaccess file in the root directory of your site with the following:

RedirectMatch ^/$ http://www.ninjadruid.com/mwiki/
