I recently moved from a Windows based machine to Dreamhost. Obviously…converted all my old asp pages (and vbscript) to php. The concern I have is with old bookmarks. So if someone bookmarked officiating.asp…since that file doesn’t exist anymore, is there a way to automatically redirect those pages to the new ones?

Is this done with an .htaccess? Other methods?


Are all the pages using the same identical name, but with a .php extension instead of .asp? It’d be .htaccess using mod_rewrite. Here are some examples that should lead you in the right direction (I hope):
