Redirect naked domain

#1

Hi,

Is it possible to have our naked domain point to www when we fully hosted our domain to Google. Currently only www works but naked domain (without any sub or cname) gets nowhere.

Thanks,

So you want www.example.com AND example.com to both point to your Google domain? I’m surprised that doesn’t already work. When I try mine, it adds the www.

actually, that’s what I meant. But that doesn’t if you fully hosted your domain to google.

look at these :

http://at.tutorial-internet.com
and
http://www.at.tutorial-internet.com

Ah, that’s not a naked domain; that’s a naked subdomain, which should (the operative word) be easier. For your DNS, there should be a CNAME for www.at.tutorial-internet.com. Is there a matching CNAME for at.tutorial-internet.com? If not, add one and see what happens.

The tricky part is seeing if ghs.google.com will respond to it.

By the way, is tutorial-internet.com Google hosted as well? Or is it just the subdomain?

Hi Scott,

Nope… tutorial-internet.com is hosted on Dreamhost, but the other cname and mx point to Google.

I have other sampel… apacbi.com, I noticed that when we haven’t created any Google Apps by our own and do it automatically using DH then the naked domain is pointing correctly.

Thanks,
