Really strange errors saving files

#1

i edit files through ssh and i am having troubles.
I am editing this php script and for some uknown reason there is something in the content that is causing troubles.

if i insert

<?php echo "hello world!"; ?>

it saves the content without any trouble.
A simple:

<?php <? require('magpierss/rss_fetch.inc'); require("comon.php"); ?>

throw an error to the ssh connection and the file is not saved. What the hell is this problem?
anybody? this is reeeeally weird.
<?php

<? require('magpierss/rss_fetch.inc'); require("comon.php"); ?>

throw an error to the ssh connection and the file is not saved. What the hell is this problem?

?>
You’re trying to nest the php start and end tags, that’s why it throws an error. As far as the error about redeclaring a function, have you verified that the include documents don’t have some function name in common?

ops, sorry. I am not nesting the tags, i just did it here in the example by mistake.

I have no clue about whatever happen this morning, but it sure was weird, for no particular reason, after a few hours i managed to save the files, since then i had no problem.

thanks anyway
