I’m working on applying for a free non-profit hosting account on DreamHost (unrelated to the account I’m currently using to ask this question). The Wiki instructions say:
- You will first need to fill out and submit the form at https://signup.dreamhost.com/ to sign up for service with us. You must select the option to set up a hosting plan, and not just domain registrations.
- When you get to the payment page, stop (please make sure you’ve filled in and submitted a Credit Card Billing Address - we use that information to verify your identity).
The organization is an amateur chorus, and it does have official 501©(3) status. I can easily do the first step above, but I’m unsure what identity you need to verify in step 2. My personal identify, or the organization’s? I am working on this as a designated agent, if you like, of the organization, so it’s not clear to me that my identity would be appropriate.
Steps 3 & 4 on the Wiki should be straightforward, too.
Can you please provide guidance?
