Question about Unique IP

Question - regarding the Unique IP feature - is that IP only used to reference the web site or are other applications capable of being bound to that address?

Say I were to put a small tomcat server behind it. (assuming I could keep the cpu utilization down) Normally that would run on something like port 8080. Could I configure that to bind to the Unique IP address assigned and reach it externally?

An IP address is assigned to a hardware server (the box). You can run as many software servers (mail, web, ftp, etc) as you want on the box, assuming they’re all going to different ports.
