Procmail and forwarding

#1

I’m trying to forward a few things using .procmail:

I have a recipe

#forward
:0

but I don’t recieve anything at user@DOMAIN.com

here’s my log file:

From user@gmail.com Sun Feb 13 22:16:18 2005
Subject: Fwd: m
Folder: /usr/sbin/sendmail -oi user@DOMAIN.com

is there another command it should be running?

Could you explain more about the scenario that you want to use this for? Are you trying to route mail for other users or is it all your email, but just different aliases that you use? Is the mail arriving on a DreamHost mail server? Is it being routed to a user on a DreamHost mail server or is it being routed to an external mail system? In the meantime, you might want to look at my Procmail Quick Start, which is here:

It discusses some of the problems with forwarding. For example, you will definitely want to inject and check for an X-Loop header!
