Problem with sub-domains not working

I get this message when i try and go to the sub domain I just set up…
Site Temporarily Unavailable
We apologize for the inconvenience. Please contact the webmaster/ tech support immediately to have them rectify this.
error id: “bad_httpd_conf”

any ideas on how to fix the problem?

you probably just need to wait for the dns to propogate.

That error means the domain/sub-domain is not set up on the Apache yet. It may take a little while for a new domain to be viewable, but not more than a couple of hours at the most.

In this case there was something not configured right for the domain. It’s all good now.

Thanks for the response.
It started working for about a day but now its down again, maybe it will come back up soon, but not sure why its still doing this because its been doing it for a couple days…

Note that when I looked into it the ‘logs’ folder under the associated ftp user’s home directory was not there. That folder is vital to the functioning of the website. I don’t know if you or someone you are working with is removing that folder or if there’s a glitch somewhere on our side, but that was the root cause.
