I have a small 1 vCPU instance here and one at VPS dot net. The one there costs $3/mo and this one costs $5/mo. When I run benchmarks on both, the vps.net instance consistently runs about 1.4-1.5 times faster. I think the concept of virtual CPUs is clearly a meaningless one. There needs to be a standard for performance in cloud computing so people aren’t taken advantage of.
I have been faced same problem here. I am going to bokmark this https://discussion.dreamhost.com/t/poor-vcpu-performance-for-cost/83376-reviews to get helpful awnser.
