I’ve created my database, user name, and password. I’ve uploaded PHPBB files to the server properly and I’m still getting a

phpBB : Critical Error

Could not connect to the database

It’s been about 4 hours since I created the data base. I’m worndering if there’s something else I could be doing wrong?

Can anyone help me with this?

Did you create a hostname for the database and then set the mysql server to this hostname in the phpbb config file?

Can you connect from the command line?

ie:
mysql -h mysql.example.com -uusername -ppassword databasename
