I am trying to custom install PHP5 on my server but with no luck at all. I get these errors before it finishes install:
cp: writing /home/username/domain.ext/cgi-bin/php.cgi': Disk quota exceeded cp: closing/home/username/domain.ext/cgi-bin/php.cgi’: Disk quota exceeded
/home/username/domain.ext/cgi-bin/php.cgi': Disk quota exceeded cp: closing
Looks like you have a disk quota set and copying the file over will exceed it. Error’s pretty cut and dry. What’s the problem?
Fix; remove the quota or remove some large files from your directory.
yerba# rm -rf /etc
Ok, done… I noticed the quota was at 500 MB…I did a complete clean install and but now I got these errors:
cp: writing /home/username/php5/bin/#INST@3207#': Disk quota exceeded cp: closing/home/username/php5/bin/#INST@3207#’: Disk quota exceeded
make: *** [install-sapi] Error 1
/home/username/php5/bin/#INST@3207#': Disk quota exceeded cp: closing
Same problem. That’s just a temp file that is created during the make. Don’t get hung up on the file names, concentrate on the error itself. It’s the exact same problem.
