Php.ini file always defaults to Dreamhost's

#1

Recently I switched to Dreamhost Private Server.

Tonight. I checked the PHP info for my site, and I noticed this:

Configuration File (php.ini) Path /home/USERNAME/php5/etc/php5/EXAMPLE.com

Loaded Configuration File /usr/local/dh/etc/php-ini/EXAMPLE.com.123422/php.ini

(Obviously, username and example have been substituted in.)

Before I switched, both were matching - now they do not.

I verified that the path in the config file is correct, and that there is a php.ini file there. In fact, I don’t think anything has changed aside from moving to PS.

I am using php as a cgi.

What can I do to further troubleshoot or resolve this?

I’ve also found that if you use the wrapper example, it also ignores your PHP.INI file.

I followed those directions and installed a Custom PHP. The result is that my php config file is never loaded.

Have you tried it yourself on a private server?

Yeah, on quite a few PS’s.

PM me if you like and I’ll take a look for you.
