Php.ini and php as CGI

#1

In order to make my site working properly I have to pass a few directives to the php but this function is disabled if the php is used as CGI.

I asked the support but it seems I do not have many solutions. Someone knows if it’s possible to edit the php.ini, or have it local or another way to pass those directives in another way?

I’m forced to not use the php as CGI?

On my other host, which only allows php as cgi, you can put a php.ini file in what ever directory you want the settings to effect. I didn’t try it while I was with dreamhost, but it would be fairly easy to test.

create a php.ini with the new directives. Then run phpInfo and see if the setting changes.
