I am trying to get a php script to work, but I keep getting the message “blah.php cannot be displayed because it contains errors.” Is there an error log someplace where I can read it to figure out what is going wrong?
Access your account via FTP (or SFTP) and go to /logs/the-domain-in-question/http/error.log .
I don’t work here. I’m just your typical support forum volunteer.
Thanks a bunch macmanx. My search on the knowledge base didn’t come up with anything. Maybe I didn’t use the right keywords.
Thanks for posting this. Why this doesn’t come up in the knowledge base is beyond me. Also, I am unable to access the logs via SSH on my account. (I can access the log with FTP.) Has anybody else experienced this type of problem?
This post was helpful and I could tail the log when I got to the log via this path. I suppose that when I first went looking into the log folder I saw the “http” directory and thought it was the http access log and didn’t pursue it.
