PHP and SQLite3

#1

Hey guys, new here to the forums, and having a few issues. I want to use SQLite3 with a php script I wrote and is on my server, however, I can’t seem to get it to work. I assumed that PHP5 (which I’m pretty sure Dreamhost is using), had SQLite3 support built in. However, I did all the work of setting up a unix account, installing SQLite3 via the instructions given here: http://wiki.dreamhost.com/SQLite but I don’t know where to go from there. (For your information, I did not do the last step “Create a link” as I don’t know if SQLite2 is installed already or not, could that be the problem?). I think that using sqlite3 versus sqlite is simply a matter of adding a 3 in the code, but is that wrong? Is there some other way to access sqlite3 methods? Do I have to link it up with PHP somehow after I finished the install process in Terminal? Anyway, thanks in advance for your help.

If you call phpinfo(), you’ll see which parts of SQLite are installed.
