Perl Mail::Sendmail

software development

#1

Hello all,

So if my reading of the forums is correct, despite perls Mail::Sendmail being installed, I can’t use it because we need to auth with the mail server and sendmail isn’t capable?

I know a solution is to use the shell sendmail (which does work) but this is nowhere near as safe - really not a solution I’m all that happy with.

Please tell me I’m wrong or that there are more robust modules installed!

Thanks for any advice,

Cyril

P.S the error message I get from the perl sendmail is:

Server said: 554 5.7.1 <email@gmail.com>: Recipient address rejected: Access denied Bad recipient <email@gmail.com>: 554 5.7.1 <email@gmail.com>: Recipient address rejected: Access denied No valid recipient Server said: 554 5.7.1 <email@gmail.com>: Recipient address rejected: Access denied
