Parsing PHP in .shtml file

software development

I need to parse a some php code in my index.shtml document and I can’t for the life of me get it to work :frowning:

I have tried several things such as:

AddType x-mapp-php4 .html .htm .shtml
removeHandler server-parsed shtml

AddType application/x-httpd-php3 .shtml

RemoveHandler .shtml
AddType application/x-httpd-php .shtml

AddType application/x-httpd-php .shtml

None of the above works :frowning:

Anybody have an idea?

If you are using PHP, why not get rid of your SSIs and use require statements instead? Then all you need is:

AddType application/x-httpd-php .html

(you won’t need to use .shtml anymore).
