Yep. I had the same “down for a bit, and then back up” experience early this morning (around 0100 PDT), and have seen that happen far more often than I would like of late.
I’ve yet to see any of these “intermittant” outages even acknowledged on the dreamhoststatus.com website, but they, like similar outages for sites on occasion, are becoming more frequent. In the case of sites exhibiting that behavior, I have found it really doesn’t make any sense to create a support ticket, as the most likely response will be “it is back up now”; I have had sites “resurrect” themselves while I was in the process of generating the ticket.
Of course, if it’s the panel, you can’t notify support anyway (which is something that Dreamhost *really needs to fix).
