ownCloud + DreamObjects gives RequestTimeTooSkewedException

I’m on a shared host and I have installed ownCloud. I’ve added external storage using a freshly created bucket in DreamObjects but I’m getting the following error in the log:

{"app":"core","message":"","level":3,"time":"2014-07-28T05:12:48+00:00"} {"app":"files_external","message":"Aws\\S3\\Exception\\RequestTimeTooSkewedException: ","level":4,"time":"2014-07-28T05:12:53+00:00"} {"app":"core","message":"","level":3,"time":"2014-07-28T05:12:54+00:00"}

Given that i don’t have control over the host I’m on, I don’t know what I can do to solve this. Any help welcome.

I didn’t think we were too strict on the time difference between the server and client. Two possible suggestions:

  1. make sure the time zone settings are correct
  2. submit a ticket to tech support and let them know the time is off on the server and causing connection issues

Thanks - the timezone looks right, but the times off by 30 minutes!

i’ll open a ticket :slight_smile:

30 minutes is definitely too much! Something must have happened to ntp - the tech support team should be able to handle it pretty quickly.
