Not allowed full MySQL access?

OK, so I’m trying to execute a “CREATE VIEW” query in one of my MySQL databases, but I’m getting a permission denied error. This seems strange, since (A) views are common, (B) lots of websites (mine included) depend on them, and © the user has access to the CREATE statement. Does anyone else have experience with creating views in MySQL on DreamHost?

I’m guessing that the CREATE command is limited to table and index creation only. You certainly can’t use it to create a database. Maybe it’s the same for views.

Well that would just be silly (not being able to create views; creating DBs I can understand); hopefully it’s just a glitch. I’ve got an open ticket with support, so I’ll report my findings afterwards.
