Nonexistant cronjob still sending me emails

#1

I created a cronjob. However I configured it badly and on the first run (it was daily) I got an email saying “no such file and directory.” I tried to fix it but I couldn’t get it to work right. So I deleted it.

However, I still get emails saying “no such file or directory.” But there is no cronjob in the interface. So, what do I do now?

Thankyou.

I never used the panel interface, so I don’t know how this could happen, but if you ssh (for instance with putty) to that particular user on your server you should be able to do the following:

See if there is a crontab:
crontab -l

Remove the crontab:
crontab -r

There is a page on the Dreamhost wiki about how it all works:

Thank you! For some reason they were still in the crontab but missing from the web-interface.

I generally don’t use ssh/putty because I stink real bad at command-line. lol.
