Once I had created the instance, I went to assign an IP. But when I went to associate a floating IP, the Ports to be Associated field said “No ports available.” Any ideas?
That’s really odd. Especially since booting a VM requires assigning an available network, and therefore ports. Can you provide me with some more info:
- Did you skip the quickstart and create a network yourself (this only applies if you were a very early tester)?
- What is the status of your router in https://dashboard.dreamcompute.com/project/routers/ ?
- Do you have any other instances that are working?
I followed the quickstart to create the instance. I did notice that the status column was set to ‘error’ after I created this instance. The router status was active. So what I did was delete the volume and instance and then created a new instance and now everything works.
I’m sorry I do not have any additional detail for you regarding this particular problem.
