No input file specified

Ok so Ive read a lot on the issue and still am not sure what I am doing wrong. All I want to be able to do is read a url like:

index.php/test/

and see /test/ in PATH_INFO

I did not have to use mod_rewrite on my previous server, so I am curious as to why I would need to now.

So if you go to this page:

http://www.simplysoireeweddings.com/index.php

Everything works great…you can see in the little debug window at the bottom…everything is working…but go here:

http://www.simplysoireeweddings.com/index.php/sent

And I get the dreaded…No input file specified.

So I added a .htaccess file with the following:

IndexIgnore .htaccess
Options +FollowSymlinks
AcceptPathInfo On

And it is still not working…any thoughts…I am not some advanced php coder, but I can figure out most issues and even write some classes of my own…but I am lost here.

that doesn’t work when php is running as cgi, which is how dreamhost does it. you can usually use php 4 as an apache module by putting this in .htaccess, which should let that syntax work for you:

AddHandler application/x-httpd-php .php
