New user can't log in?

Yesterday I created a new user, couple hours later created a new subdomain in that user’s space. Got all the emails (web service, ftp, mail account enabled stuff) and today I can’t login (Login incorrect) while I can reach the subdomain in a web browser. I’m using login credential copy and pasted straight from the official email even. What gives?!

By the way, there’s been a shuffle on the new user creation where it asks if you’d like a mailbox for the user (instead of automatically creating one) right? I said NO to the mailbox, yet I still got the “Dreamhost Mail Account Activated” email notice (no mailbox created).

changed the password, worked, changed it back, worked. Bit of a glitch there I’d say.
