I’m running Wordpress 5.2.1 via easy install and recently upgraded to PHP 7.3, I was/am having 500 internal server errors randomly upon logging in to admin panel and 404 pages clicking links in my admin panel but were always fixed by a refresh, I contacted Tech support and they assisted with raising memory to 128mb. I want to know what caused the memory error to begin with as it is still happening. I saw somewhere where Wordpress overrides memory limits, So should I increase it also in wp-config.php file for it to actually take effect on dreamhost server?.
" It was caused by PHP memory exhaustion and is referenced in the error log. For
[Fri May 24 11:43:41 2019] [error] [client xx.xxx.xx.xx] Premature end of
script headers: php73.cgi"
I’ll admit I’m a beginner, not a coder, Just trying my best to run a simple 7-15 page wordpress site.
I do have a few plugins, But I’ve intentionally tried to keep it very basic in an effort to minimize headaches.
- Akismet Anti-Spam
- Wordpress Classic Editor
- TinyMCE Advanced
- Wordfence Security
- WP Super Cache
- Yoast SEO
Can you help me understand what is happening please and what I should do?
