I created a mysql user with a $ character in the name and was not able to connect. I created a new user and changed the $ to an “underline character” and now it works.
How can I delete the old username from the “Users with Access” list on the Manage MySQL page?
You can “Edit” the user (click on their name) and then “delete” that user’s access to the database.
Thank you for the help. It worked.
I think I was afraid of that “delete” button. I was confused and probably worried that I might delete the database. Now I understand.
Good deal, and I’m glad you got it sorted. That is a little “less than intuitive”, but I think they do it that way to keep you from inadvertently deleting a user that might be connected with numerous databases.
