I’m having trouble connecting to my database with Dreamweaver MX ‘04. I see from the forums that this isn’t all that uncommon. But while I’ve seen solutions to similar problems, I’ve not been able to find the answer… Any advice would be great…
When I try to connect I get an error 404 message, asking me to verify that the URL Prefix maps to the root of the site. Having checked this, it does seem to (I think, details below).
And when I browse to the connection scripts file that DW creates on my site (to http://www.givingcoop.org/_mmServerScripts/MMHTTPDB.php) I get the following text:
“The files from the _mmServerScripts folder are for the server model PHP-MySQL. You try to connect to a database using a different server model . Please remove this folder outside the Dreamweaver environment on both local and testing machines and try again.\n”
(I’m not really sure what it’s talking about since DW creates this file when attempting to connect to the database).
I’ve tried playing with the site settings and also removing/redeploying the connection scripts that DW creates, but no luck. As I say, any help’d be great.
