Hello,

Upon further review, it appears that your ‘library-cafe.com’ site is
being willfully used to facilitate the unauthorized distribution of
copyrighted material. As such, your account has been permanently disabled
without refund for violations of our Terms of Service and US copyright
law.

My host has been disabed. But I have many important data in this host. Can you tell me if it could be enabled for one day. So that I can backup my data.

Given that the email says “your account has been permanently disabled” you are highly unlikely to ever see that account enabled again.

I think you would be best advised to ask this question of DreamHost themselves via the link below, rather than on these (primarily customer-to-customer) forums.

Your site was terminated because you were in violation of the U.S. copyright law and DreamHost’s TOS. If you wish to dispute that, I’m sure you can take your case up with DreamHost. But if you did what they claim you did, you don’t deserve a backup of your files. Besides, isn’t that your responsibility anyway?

If your question is, “Will Dreamhost, after terminating my account for distributing copyrighted material, kindly distribute that copyrighted material back to me?” … I’ll go ahead and guess, “no.” :stuck_out_tongue:

That just isn’t going to happen, and it’s a good thing too. Hopefully, you will have learned two very important lessons:

  1. Backup all your data locally
  2. Don’t steal

Instead of moaning about the loss of data, perhaps you should be sighing with relief at the knowledge that you appear to have evaded prosecution.

I agree. There seems to be a disconnect between what this person did and the silly request for a backup of this illegal material. Clearly the violation isn’t being properly understood by the violator.
