I recently went into my MySQL database, and found that some of the “Users with Access” to my databases are users I’ve never heard of (who have odd, jumbled names). Have I been hacked? Is removing access for each unfamiliar user enough, or do I need to take further action?
This is normal. MySQL users for one-click applications you install (like WordPress) are automatically created with random names.
Oh, I didn’t know that…that’s a relief, thanks!
