Mounting webdav as a ubuntu drive

#1

Hi

I’ve just begun working with both WebDAV and Ubuntu.

The problem I’m having is that I can connect to my WebDAV files (at ophelia1.net) - but only once. If I work with one file, finish it, close nautilis, then click on the desktop icon, I get this error message:

Error unable to mount volume
http:error temporarily moved.

I then unmount the connection from the desktop, go back to places, and connect again.

I’ve not been able to find out anything about this. I posted in the Ubuntu forums, but they stay so busy that beginner questions seem to get rolled over.

I’ve always had good luck finding help here [I just posted another question regarding a window issue], so I figured it would be worth the shot.

thanks in advance for your help

regards

How about trying a command line mount and umount? For a hint, once you mount the volume using the current method, get a volume listing by typing ‘mount’ to see what paths are used. And then ‘man mount’ to find the syntax to duplicate that mount.
