Some people use cron to run uptime and pipe to a file, something like:

*/10 * * * * /usr/bin/uptime >> $HOME/uptime-history.txt

Thanks for the tip. I’ve schedule that, but I really don’t know what those 3 numbers mean. What should I get in average? Or max?

I found this reference http://www.perfdynamics.com/CMG/CMGslides4up.pdf Sorry it’s a pdf but it does go into decent detail.

Wholly - IS NOT MY PROMO CODE. Even worse, I don’t get any credit for it. Use WhollyMindless for full credit. I’m really disappointed in someone.
