Mbstring?

#1

Hi, I just opened one of my databases in the panel, and in nice bright bold red letters I have…

“The mbstring PHP extension was not found and you seem to be using multibyte charset. Without mbstring extension phpMyAdmin is unable to split strings correctly and it may result in unexpected results.”

Is this something I should contact support about?

this webid is on Arkanoid, and the database is on Juno

I am experiencing the same thing on databases for all domains.

“The mbstring PHP extension was not found and you seem to be using multibyte charset. Without mbstring extension phpMyAdmin is unable to split strings correctly and it may result in unexpected results.”

I did send in a support request this morning, although I never did get an autoreply from them stating that they got the message.

One of my problems has been fixed though.

Hopefully it isn’t anything to worry about. I just want to do some mods to the database, but will wait til this gets sorted out.

Does anyone know if this mbstring thing will affect modifications I make to my database at the moment? I still have the error message…but, I need to update some items in the DB.
