Mail: Thunderbird: IMAP folders are childs of INBOX

#1

I created an email address in my DH Panel and created an account for it in Thunderbird 3.

Now I got this folder structure:
[]INBOX
[
]Trash

but I want:
[]INBOX
[
]Trash
In the DH wiki, I found:
All of my folders look like they are subfolders of my inbox and I’d prefer to see folders as if they were siblings of inbox instead

But this instruction does not work for me.

I have to exactly enter “INBOX.” into the first field, correct? (‘IMAP server directory’, or similar)

‘Personal Namespace’ (or similar) was set to “INBOX.” at default. Should this stay?

#2

The instruction in the wiki changed in the meantime to:

So you’d have to enter IMAP. instead of "IMAP."

But this doesn’t seem to work for me, either :frowning:

Could someone tell me, what the value of “Personal namespace” should be? And whether I should acticate “Allow server to override these namespaces”?

#3

Enter INBOX. instead of IMAP.
