MAIL APP Connectivity Issues


I am having trouble maintaining a reliable connection to my mail server using the MAIL app in OSX. I will intermittently connect/disconnect to my mail server without a steady connection. I am able to use my browser to connect to my mail just fine but the connection using an email client is not stable. Any advice on how to troubleshoot this issue. It’s been persisting ever since I’ve migrated to dreamhost.


Sorry to hear that! Random connectivity issues are very hard to diagnose and solve unfortunately… What exactly is the error message you see on the phone? How are you accessing email (IMAP or POP?) Which server/port do you connect to? Have you tried a different email application on your phone? Do you have the same symptoms on wifi and mobile network?
