Lost custom MX over weekend?

#1

Hi. I don’t know if this is related to the Galaga server issues, but I’ve been using Google Apps for my webmail (hosted on Foothill) and as of 7:30pm last night my Dreamhosted address started bouncing back mail. I checked my domain’s custom MX settings this morning, and they had somehow been reset to “Regular Dreamhost Email,” with the default “10 yourown.mx.server.com” having replaced “ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.” But the CNAME records pointing to “ghs.google.com.” were unaffected.

I didn’t log in to my account at any point over the weekend, which is kind of disturbing. Does anyone know what could have happened?

Thanks,
Dave

I don’t know, but it seems likely there was some sort of glitch when transferring over to the new server that reset your custom MX settings. I wouldn’t be worried about someone having access to your account or anything like that, just some odd little glitch.
