Locating WP Content Folders?!

wordpress

#1

I entered code into my functions.php (because I was following a dumb tutorial and know NOTHING about computers) and now my wordpress blog has completely disappeared and I can’t even access my login. All I get is this error message:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘}’ in /home/prayersnapples/prayersandapples.com/wp-content/themes/freedream/functions.php on line 10

I found an article that seemed like it would help, that suggested I “Go in to your cPanel, and then “File Manager” and navigate to where you installed wordpress. Let’s say you install it in the root, so go to the root and look for “wp-content”… and then try to fix things from there.

However, DreamHost doesn’t have a CPanel and I have no idea how to find anything (I don’t know what FTP is either - even though a lot of the articles I’m finding mention it).

The ONLY good news is, I have a backup of my blog stored on Google Drive - so I have all of those files. I just don’t know what to do with them.

Please help, I’m just sitting her balling my eyes out - my whole blog is gone, I know nothing about computers and have no idea what to do.

Thanks in advance!!

How where you editing functions.php if not with FTP?

Anyway, If you can figure out FTP it will take you 1 minute to fix

Just upload the original functions.php into the directory /prayersandapples.com/wp-content/themes/freedream/ - overwriting the one you edited.

Visit https://webftp.dreamhost.com/

Host: prayersandapples.com | Port: 21
