We have a CRM application running on a Dreamhost PS.
Currently, we configure the application to contact mail.ourdomain.com for outgoing mail.
I have just noticed that the PS runs a local Postfix process. So I guess it is also possible to configure ‘localhost’ instead of mail.ourdomain.com [the latter is a dreamhost dedicated mail machine I guess].
Does the local Postfix process keep a mail queue and will resend messages if we exceed the 100 msgs/hr limit? [big advantage for us]
Can we enable logging on the local Postfix to monitor email problems?
