iTunes

Very weird. I have a website of short films. This morning I’m checking my daily stats and I see that iTunes is the most widely used browser for accessing the site. I’ve searched iTunes for all of my film titles, for me, for my cat… I can’t find anything. I have no idea how people are accessing my site via iTunes. Any ideas? Is there some way to see what browser is pointing to what or from where? I’m stumped.

iTunes > Advanced > Open Stream and they could paste the URL. That seems silly though.

If you have tons and tons of iTunes browsers someone most likely linked (hot linked) to it in a vidcast.

Huh? I don’t get how that works. I’ve watched video podcasts but I don’t recall ever seeing any kind of embedded URLs.

In the xml (rss) feed you can just point to a URL.

Here is what the XML (RSS) looks like for a Podcast (this is just the part for each entry)

They could just link to the .mov or .whatever file.
