Internal Server Error

#1

For the past few days I’ve been getting the following error if I try to browse to any page on my website:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@ and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

FTP access works fine and I can’t see any obvious missing files or stuff changed.
I’ve checked http://www.dreamhoststatus.com/ but my Panel says I’m not using VPS set up.
I’m pretty much clueless about under the hood stuff, I just use my web space to host a few pics and a small forum.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

This is something for you to contact support. We are just customers. A 500 error could come from anywhere.

I’ve seen some other people with this error, you may have been hacked. Goto this site:
http://www.php-beginners.com/solve-wordpress-malware-script-attack-fix.html
and get the second version, version 2.4 and ftp it to your site.

on this page http://discussion.dreamhost.com/thread-134262-page-6.html dhtr has a great article on what to do with this

do you know how to ssh into your site?

On which domain are you seeing the 500 error?
