Internal Server Error

#1

I am occasionally getting an internal server error that goes away on refresh of the page.

Dreamhost claims it is from heavy usage, however, I have one static html site with about 500 visits/day.

But, I have a new Drupal install that isn’t yet live. The errors come in using this. While I realize that this is more intensive than html, what exactly does DH provide in terms of server performance for php/mysql driven sites? This site is currently only in development and I’m the only one doing anything on it. It should work fine with no visitors, but it doesn’t.

Here is the result of top when I run an update/change in the admin:

top - 20:58:24 up 87 days, 18:50, 4 users, load average: 14.68, 6.74, 5.60

This is captured while the script that was running that created the internal server error.

Look at top with no processes (no connections with Drupal) (i.e. baseline usage):

This looks really familiar. Did you also submit this as a tech support request, and did I answer it?
