Internal Domain Transfer


I’m trying to transfer a domain from another DreamHost customers account to mine however the transfer request apparently hasn’t come up in the other users account. Is there a different process for transferring internally within DreamHost? And will transferring internally negate any costs involved?

I hope I don’t sound like a complete newbie.

You sound just like anybody else trying to transfer a domain internally. It has to be done through a Support ticket. Internal transfers are have restrictions due to the use of promo codes. You can’t transfer a domain to an account that was set up with a promo code. Usually. Again, only DreamHost Support can deal with internal transfers.
