Installing Zend Optimizer

apps

#1

Hey, I’m a bit of a newb. I need to install the Zend Optimizer in order to use CUSP (comic update script for php), but I have no idea how to do it. Any help would be appreciated.

If you haven’t compiled your own PHP, then Zend Optimizer is already installed.

I didn’t think that zend was part of Dreamhost’s server?

It is. You can confirm it by creating a text file with only the following line in it:

<?php phpinfo(); ?>Now, save that file as phpinfo.php, upload it to your main directory, and access it from your browser.

Zend Optimizer is not installed. Zend scripting engine is, they’re two different things. You still can’t run scripts that require Zend Optimizer on DH servers.

That’s strange because I though I was running something that required it. I’ll have to go back and see what I was doing.
