Installing WordPress on a Google-hosted domain

So I’ve been asked to set up WordPress for someone with a DreamHost account. I don’t have the option in the “Free Website Software” section to do an advanced install of WordPress on the particular site, and I suspect this is because it is Google hosted.

If I disable the Google hosting for the side will I be able to install WordPress on it? If so, how do I disable the Google hosting?

Hello.

Go to: https://panel.dreamhost.com/index.cgi?tree=domain.manage&

And under the web hosting for that domain, click “edit”. Then use full hosting; you can still use google services on that domain like gmail, docs, etc.

It sounds like they’re using free hosting. I don’t know what the free panel looks like, so I don’t know if there’s a way to break out the Google mail from the free site hosting.
