IE or Code bug

I have a problem been driving e crazy for days, I don’t think it is a php bug as the page displays fine from safari on a mac. The problem is in IE on windows

go to
http://mybadasslayouts.com/myspace-air-force-1

click on one of the shoes

When the new page opens up where the enlarged photo is supposed to appear is instead marked by a red X

I right click on the x and look at the properties, it appears an extra set of the url is inserted

Now view the source of the page to see where that may be coming from and I can’t even find it…

but look at View Privacy report and you will see the
http://www.mybadasslayouts.com/www.mybadasslayouts.com

url so where is it coming from?

look at the link

http:/www.mybadasslayouts.com/userpics/airs/AF1_low_acorn_2.jpg

it’s missing the /

something is wrong with your include function. If you view source code in the html page, you will see something like this

http://www.mybadasslayouts.com/viewimage/http:/www.mybadasslayouts.com/userpics/airs/AF1_low_acorn_2.jpg#codes

look at the file path, it is wrong.

Yes, but IE is a different universe. We have special css files and other changes at http://macnightowl.com to accommodate the needs of Microsoft’s browser. I can’t specifically fix your problem, but you should try to check as many browsers as possible to make sure everything works.

I use Parallels Desktop and Virtual PC to examine MSIE.

I agree with Nathan, I don’t think this is an IE issue at all, the internal links on your site look ‘wrong’ to me.

It is possible that something about the DreamHost PHP environment is breaking your script.

I would have to agree with both of them. :-p

when your including a file(not just in php, but in html or wherever as well) and you don’t type the starting point all the way (http://) then it will just try to append it to the current location (http://www.here.com/yourpage.htmlhttp:/www.otherpage.com/image.jpg)

and… saying you can do one thing in browser ‘x’ but can’t get ie to do it… is a bit like saying you can beat a six-year old at chess…
