Hyper-linking icons

design

#1

Hello,

First time here and I am hoping this forum is as great as everything else Dreamhost does.

I need help hyperlinking 3 icons at the following link:
http://test.creativeflowmedia.org/

if you scroll down the first thing you will see is 3 icons:
products - support - estimator

I need to make these icons hyperlinks to here:

http://test.creativeflowmedia.org/products/
http://test.creativeflowmedia.org/support/
http://test.creativeflowmedia.org/estimator/

Just wrap each icon element in an anchor tag. Example from the Font Awesome site:

<a class="btn btn-danger" href="#">
  <i class="fa fa-trash-o fa-lg"></i> Delete</a>
<a class="btn btn-default btn-sm" href="#">
  <i class="fa fa-cog"></i> Settings</a>

As kjodle said, wrapping the icons in anchor tags is what you want to do; However, it looks like the HTML for those icons are being generated by the theme so if you’re not comfortable creating a child theme to change this one aspect of the theme, it may be a challenging task. If it’s a premium theme, I have found that the support forums for those premium themes will often accommodate for these types of customizations.

Thank you kjodle and kabber for the insights. I’ve never created a child theme before and I am completely new to wordpress. I am mostly working on Joomla and took on this wordpress client with the confidence that Dreamhost tech team would be able to help with anything I couldn’t. Everything has gone just fine and I find wordpress to be a great web-site platform; except for this simple issue that has me pulling my hairs out…

I just learned that the DH wordpress support does not include design aspects, which kinda sucks for me…

We contacted modern themes about it over a week ago, along with a few other things and still no response. I haven’t tried their forums though. Maybe I’ll do that next. I am willing to pay for this service at this point if any wordpress wizards out there have time for me.

Any help is greatly appreciated…
