Huge issue with FTP uploads larger than 8KB

#1

Okay guys, I’m having a big problem. Whenever I try to upload flash/images/pdfs/zips etc, it will only allow uploads of 8KB or less and then trim the rest of the file. This is very restricting, and I’m having a very difficult time. One really odd thing is that I gave someone else a subdomain and account, and their FTP works fine while mine cant handle anything over 8KB.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Wouldn’t it be your FTP client that could be a “limited demo” ?

#3

No, because Im using the free FireFTP client and ive also tried CuteFTP, Bulletproof FTP, and SmartFTP with the exact same results.

Passive mode.

Have you tried SFTP? It suffers from none of the problems that plague FTP, plus it doesn’t send your login and password over the wire in plain text.

If the problem persists using other methods of sending data, the problem may lie with your computer or internet connection.

Jason, what do you mean by passive mode? Because passive mode is turned on in FireFTP.

I ment, a lot of FTP issues are because Passive mode isn’t turned on. (and it needs to be.)
