HTTP error on image upload

wordpress

#21

The only error message is:

HTTP ERROR

and cannot find a solution.

Thank you.

Unfortunately that’s way too little information, nothing I can help you with. You need to check your logs and try to see there what the real error is.

Also you’re posting to a customer forum: people where don’t know if you’re using shared hosting, a vps, dreamcompute… Nobody can imagine what version of wordpress you run (do you run wordpress?), what plugins, did the site ever work, did you change something before the error came up… etc. Be explicit, do research on your side and post as much information as you can possibly collect.

Hi there!!

I was having this trouble, here is my solution:

Add the following line of code at the top of the .htaccess file:
SetEnv MAGICK_THREAD_LIMIT 1

Hope this helps!!

Log into your cPanel dashboard.
Using the file manager, navigate to your WordPress site’s root directory.
Locate and open the .htaccess file for editing.
Add the following line of code at the top of the file:
SetEnv MAGICK_THREAD_LIMIT 1
Save the changes to the .htaccess file.
