Does Dreamhost allow .htaccess files? The reason I ask is I want to generate a headline sig showing my latest blog entry. The generated sig works as a link, but I need to use an .htaccess redirect for it to work as an image, so I can use it as my sig on a few forums. I uploaded an .htaccess file with a redirect command, but it gave me an internal server error for my whole site.

Any ideas?

Yes, dreamhost does allow htaccess. However, there are some features that you can implement from the panel that have given me errors when I tried to implement via htaccess. But, generally it does work.
