.htaccess mod_rewrite Question

#1

Hi there,

First of all, I should say I am a newbie on whole hosting stuff.

So, here is the question.

I’d like to set something like after you type http://myweb.com/anyletters
and press Enter on IE, then it can be redirected to http://myweb.com

How to IGNORE “any letters” after "http://myweb.com/

, so I did my homework on Google, and I created a .htaccess file include the following sentences,

RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule /.* http://myweb.com/

I put the file in the root of my web address, however, it doesn’t works .
Anyone can help me please ?

Regards,
Andy

Hi there,

First of all, I should say I have been at this web hosting/ forum stuff for quite some time now.

So, here is the question.

I’d like to know why some people feel the need to assume new identities/usernames every time they post for help in a forum?

See, I did my homework searching the Forum, and I found this post and this post.

Have you checked these resources?
