Htaccess changes not having effect

Hi everyone,

I’m new to dreamhost, but have some experience with Apache and dedicated servers.

I tried some redirect rules in a htaccess file. Then I changed the rules, but the old rules are still in effect. Does dreamost cache the htaccess file? How long before a change in the htaccess can be expected to have effect?

Sorry to reply to my own post, but I found the answer!

Seems my firefox browser was caching the 301 (permanent redirect) so even after changing the htaccess, my browser was still performing the redirect as it was originally in the htaccess. Restarting the browser did the trick.
